What Is Diversion?

Have you ever seen Pureology products for sale in a location other than your local salon or authorised stockist? When you come across salon professional products being sold outside of a salon or authorised distributor, this is called “diversion.” Diversion occurs when unauthorised distributors or businesses divert products to make a profit without the consent of the original supplier.

Why You Should Be Aware Of Diversion

Diverted products can be counterfeit, diluted formulas, or old, expired formulas that may not be safe to use. Contaminated or counterfeit products could cause irritation or even infection.

Pureology can only guarantee genuine, authentic product when purchased from a registered salon or stockist. This means if you buy our products from any unauthorised outlet, we cannot guarantee that it is an authentic Pureology product that will perform as tested.

What You Can Do To Help

Don't take the risk! Don’t buy it! And tell your friends about the potential danger of diverted products too. If you see Pureology products for sale outside of a salon, please send an e-mail to consumeraffairs@au.loreal.com with the city, state and name of the location where you saw the products. From here our teams can investigate the product and track the supplier of the diverted stock.
